Another third graduate but are not prepared for the next stage of life – either productive work or some form of post secondary education.

Many of these students do not succeed in high school because 30-40% of 8th graders have not achieved the basic reading and math skills necessary to be successful in a 9th grade curriculum.

Our role, in partnership with our school district partners, is to prepare students for success in their home schools and, after graduating, for success in the next stage of their education or employment.

CEP helps pull kids back from the edge, gives them a reason to succeed, and offers hope for a better life.
